Dear Ponies,

We are looking forward to starting this weekend.  Below is a table with your coaches and email addresses.  I only have 1 team manager assigned!  Here is why I need them.....I have already heard from several of you that are not getting these website emails.  Unfortunately, it happens and I cannot troubleshoot that for you on my end.  Sending out offline emails from my inbox is not an option, because Google shuts my email down thinking I am spamming people.  My coaches are not a good option because many of them are coaching multiple teams.  

Team managers will just need to forward a weekly email from me.  The only other responsibility will be when uniforms arrive, team managers will just hold onto items that don't get picked up immediately when we hand them out at practice.  

FYI.....There are (2) 2033 teams.  Citation and Seabiscuit and I have listed those rosters below.  We kept players together from the same school as promised.

Your first practices are this weekend on Saturday August 27th from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM.  2032 will be on the Grass Middle, 2033 (3rd) Grass West (2nd), 2034 Grass East (1st).  

Team Managers

If you would like to be a team manager for your team  please let me know your son's grad year and name.  Parents with kids on one of our older teams would be great for this job!  I have always managed the Ponies myself but would love some help from Team Managers to help me push out information.  I will send out an email on Wednesday, with Coaches Emails and Team Managers so you can communicate with them during the season.  If you can hold off until I send this email on Tuesday to let coaches and team managers know if you can not be at practice this weekend it would be great.

All About Practices

Practice Location:  Jesuit College Preparatory School 12345 Inwood Road Dallas, TX 75244

Practice Dates and Times: Saturday's from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM  8/27, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15 only 2032 and 2033 will practice on Sunday 10/30 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM; Summer 2023 practice dates and time will be released in April 2023.

Fall season ends for all teams after your last scheduled tournament listed below.  If you are a 2032 or 2033 the summer schedule picks back up in mid May after you are finished with your rec/school/community season.  2034 will have a separate registration for summer which will be live in March 2023.  

* 2034 is only doing one event in the fall and is done with their season after Turlaxin.  There will be another registration for summer 2023 out in March!

** if for some reason the Texas Draw does not get enough teams for the younger divisions then we will do Aloha the following weekend in Plano.  

Parking

Please see the attached campus map.  The best parking area for the grass and baseball field is Anderson Lot which is across Willow.  The best parking area for the turf field is the main parking area nearest the school.  The road that leads directly to the grass fields from Inwood is for STAFF ONLY.  It is unsafe for parents or anyone else to drive their cars into this area even for dropoff.  Please do not ever pull your car back there and please respect this Jesuit school rule!

Optional Iron Horse Lacrosse bags…..The bag options are the Mega Bag, or the Lax Pack in Navy.  These bags are great for air travel but the Mega is the only one that will fit a short shaft.  I can't say enough about these bags.  In the 15 years of organizing lacrosse teams, I can honestly say this is the only vendor I have not changed and I have changed ALOT of vendors over the years.  FYI, the Lax Pack in Navy is out of stock until mid September but if ordered will ship out once it arrives.

Q How can I add an email to get these website notifications?

A Unfortunately, I can not do that for you, the person that registered, needs to log in to the Iron Horse website at www.ironhorselax.com and check their communication preferences in settings.  I will tell you that it's not a perfect system and that is why we have team managers push out information and we are implementing the team Groupme.  

Q When will we find out our jersey #?  

A Next week!

Q When will our uniforms be in?

A Approximately 6 weeks

Q How do we get our uniforms?

A They are handed out at practice; if you miss that particular practice, team managers or coaches will keep the uniforms that do not get distributed.

Q Can we see the new uniform artwork?

A Yes next week.  We have to approve the sample that was made for us first which is supposed to arrive today.

Q How do we get our Vineyard Vines Belt we ordered during registration?

A They will be given out with uniform items.  If you would like them any earlier, I can also get them to you at your second practice after Labor Day.

Q Can we still get a Vineyard Vines belt?

A Yes, they are available in the Team Lax store.  

Q Who do I notify if I can not be at a practice or game?

A your coaches and team managers but please make sure your coaches are aware.
