Chris Surran is the founder and President of Iron Horse Lacrosse as well as the Dallas Deuces Lacrosse Organization and the current Head Varsity lacrosse coach at Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas,Texas where he has led the team to 4 state championships. Chris was an All-American lacrosse player at Syracuse University. He participated in three NCAA Final Fours and played in two NCAA National Championship games. He was the MVP of the Final Four and Captain of his team in 1993, when Syracuse won the NCAA Division I National Championship against the University of North Carolina. He was also selected to play in the prestigious North/South All-Star game.
Chris was the head lacrosse coach at the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, RI for three years. During that time he worked under the supervision of Richie Meade, former head lacrosse coach of the United States Naval Academy. Chris was also a founder and part owner of the Player's Choice Lacrosse Camps, which are still operational today.
Chris has trained NCAA All-Americans and has run lacrosse camps around the country. Recently, Chris has coached and trained many of the Dallas area’s best male and female goalies. He owns and operates the successful Deuces Lacrosse Camps that are known for bringing in a high quality staff consisting of NCAA college lacrosse coaches, NCAA All Americans and professional lacrosse players. As the head coach at Dallas Jesuit, Chris has led Jesuit to the Division I final four of the Texas State High School Lacrosse League in both 2010, 2011 (runner up), 2012, 2013, 2014 (runner up). In 2007, The Dallas Morning News named him the Coach of the Year for the sport of lacrosse.
Currently, Chris still plays goalie annually for the Burnt Orange, a Syracuse University reunion team he was selected to play on during it's inaugural year in 2009. Chris has also been on the board for Bridge Lacrosse Dallas, a non-profit organization focused on bringing lacrosse to traditionally underserved areas.
Additionally, Chris has a Bachelors degree from Syracuse University in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University Law School where he graduated Suma Cum Laude. Chris practiced law at the Dallas office of Jenkens and Gilchrist until 2006 when he opened his own boutique law firm focusing on Commercial Real Estate and became the Head Lacrosse Coach at Jesuit College Preparatory School.
Matt grew up in upstate New York and played Division III lacrosse at Cortland University and Plattsburgh University. At Plattsburgh, he was elected team rookie of the year as a midfielder and was a team captain. He graduated with a degree in communications with a minor in coaching. Before moving to Dallas he was the assistant director of lacrosse at Future Stars Camp in Purchase, NY and the director of lacrosse at Camp All-Star in Chattanooga, TN.
Matt has been coaching in the Dallas area since 2012 and was with Coppell Lacrosse for 12 years. During his time with Coppell he was the youth director, a youth coach at all age groups, a HS assistant and the HS head coach for 6 years. He won the THSLL Class A North District Coach of the Year in 2019 and his team won the Class A State Championship in 2021.
Carl has nearly 20 years of coaching experience. Sprock has been a member of four state championship programs during a career that has spanned high school programs in Ohio and Texas. The 2014 THSLL North District Assistant Coach of the Year for Jesuit, Sprock was born in southwestern Pennsylvania, but relocated to Texas where he was a three-time football letterman at North Texas.
Sprock has coached in the Metroplex for 11 years, and has coached teams to 7 total THSLL State Semifinal berths. Coach Sprock brings energy and passion every day and enjoys working with the student athletes to improve their basic fundamental skills both on and off the field.
Nate grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and played at St. Mary’s School. He went on to have a stellar collegiate and professional career.
Lewnes graduated from Division I UMBC in 2015 after concluding his four-year career with 145 points on 119 goals and 26 assists. Lewnes’ 2016 season earned him All-American honors as Lewnes finished the season as the national leader in scoring average with 3.91 goals per game.
After graduating, Lewnes played professionally in Major League Lacrosse, taking the field for the Chesapeake Bayhawks, Ohio Machine, Dallas Rattlers and Connecticut Hammerheads. Lewnes coaches the 2026 Iron Horse team and is the Offensive Coordinator at Dallas Jesuit.
Nick grew up in central New York. He was a 3x All Division and 2x All CNY at Cicero-North Syracuse HS. He then went on to be a Division I starting midfielder at Hobart College and Le Moyne College.
Coach Blumer is entering his 9th season as the Allen HS Head Coach. He was the THSLL 2018 and 2021 Class A North Coach of the Year.
Colton was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He started playing lacrosse for Christ The King Catholic School in third grade, then the Dallas Deuces (Jesuit Dallas feeder program) in the fifth grade. Colton attended Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas, was a four year letterman, three year starter for head coach, Chris Surran. Colton played LSM/FO and capped off his senior year helping lead Jesuit to their first THSLL State Championship in 2016.
He then went on to play Division I lacrosse for Siena College in Loudonville, New York. He appeared in 41 career games and amassed 60 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers, one goal and an assist. After graduating, Colton went to NLL training camp for the Panther City lacrosse club and the Albany Firewolves.
Colton has been a coach for Iron Horse lacrosse and the Dallas Deuces since he graduated from Jesuit in 2016 and continues to coach multiple grades levels. Colton joined the Jesuit coaching staff in 2021 as the JV head coach and Class B defensive coordinator where he was named the 2023 assistant coach of the year. He now serves as the Class A defensive assistant coach.
Demetrius, originally from Syracuse, NY, began his lacrosse career at Nottingham High School, a program known for producing elite talent. Coach Parker's passion for the game blossomed at Nottingham, paving the way for his collegiate lacrosse journey.
He continued his career at Herkimer Community College, home of the 9-time NJCAA National Champion Generals lacrosse team, where he played under Coach Rich Dommer, a former All-American and NCAA Champion. At Herkimer, Parker developed a strong foundation in lacrosse, playing at a highly competitive level.
After being recruited by multiple programs, Coach Parker chose to attend NCAA Division III Medaille College in Buffalo, NY. During his college career, he played nearly every position on the field, giving him an in-depth understanding of the game’s complexities from all perspectives. His versatility and passion for the sport ultimately led him to pursue coaching full-time after leaving a management position in Syracuse.
In recent years, Coach Parker has become a key figure in the DFW lacrosse community, serving in coaching roles at both Allen and Lovejoy, where he led teams to the THSLL State Championship final and secured several playoff appearances. His contributions go beyond team coaching, as he has also organized clinics, skills camps, and provided personalized training, driven by his love for lacrosse and physical fitness.
Additionally, Coach Parker is a certified personal trainer, nationally certified strength and conditioning coach, and program builder. He is currently part of the strength and conditioning staff at Parish Episcopal School of Dallas and holds certifications as a powerlifting instructor and corrective exercise coach. His comprehensive expertise in athletic development and injury prevention ensures that the athletes he coaches can achieve their full potential safely and effectively.
Ben went to Coppell High School where he was a captain and All-State midfielder. He then went on to play at Division I Rutgers University where he was selected to the Academic All Big Ten Team.
After graduation Ben returned to Dallas and served as the offensive coordinator for 5 years at his Alma Mater Coppell while also coaching Iron Horse at multiple age levels
Drew was born and raised on Long Island, New York, He grew up playing for LI Express, and FLG. He attended St. Anthony’s HS and went on to play midfield at Division I Providence College for 4 years. After graduating, he played his 5th year of eligibility at Division II Lynn University.
Beyond his playing career, Drew has coached for several years at Millon Lacrosse Camp and FLG.
Brandon grew up in El Paso, Texas. He played lacrosse for the University of North Texas Men’s Club Lacrosse Team. His senior year, he was named captain of that team. Upon graduating, Brandon became an assistant coach at UNT for two years, while also working as a high school lacrosse referee for four years. He stopped playing lacrosse only when his own son was old enough to play himself. At that time, Brandon began coaching at PSA (Plano Sports Authority/Wrangler Black) and continued to coach there for three years.
Coach B has been a member of the Jesuit Dallas lacrosse coaching staff since 2014, and serves as an assistant on both the junior varsity and varsity teams, specializing in mentoring the goalkeepers. He is the head goalie coach for Iron Horse and has been with the program for 10 years. Brandon prides himself on teaching his players the fundamentals of lacrosse in order to properly prepare them for their high school career and beyond.
Will has been a part of the Iron Horse Lacrosse Program since its inaugural season, playing from fifth grade until graduating from Jesuit in 2019. He has been a coach for the past five years. While attending Jesuit, he was a three-year Varsity letterman, a two-year starting goalie, and a member of the 2016 State Championship team.
After graduating, Will went on to play Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where he majored in Economics and minored in Data Science. He graduated in 2023 and is now back in Dallas, working as a Private Investment Analyst for HFS Capital Partners, while also coaching Iron Horse and Dallas Deuces.
Christian played varsity lacrosse for Dallas Jesuit. He was the recipient of the Ranger Heart Award, granted to an outstanding athlete who displays leadership on and off the field. Christian was an All-District selection as a junior, a member of Iron Horse Lacrosse during his senior season, played for the Leathernecks during his junior season and Dallas Select for two years. He is also a black belt in martial arts.
Christian went on to play at Division I Boston University where he had an amazing career. His accolades include: 3rd team All-American, Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, 1st Team All-Patriot League, North/South All-Star, 1st Team All-ECAC, Scholar All-American, Academic All-Patriot League, Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, John B. Simpson Award (for enthusiasm and leadership at BU), and was the Boston University Scarlet Key recipient.
Christian was drafted by the Dallas Rattlers in the 2018 MLL Supplemental Draft. With the pick, Coach Bill Warder made him the first Dallas native selected by the Rattlers.
After graduating from Boston University, Christian attended Baylor Law School and has been practicing in the Dallas area for a few years.
Luke grew up in Roswell, Georgia and went on to be a standout player for Division I Mercer University from 2017-2022. A captain during his fifth and final year on the team capped an accolade-filled career that included a 2018 Team Rookie of the Year Award, four consecutive Southern Conference Academic All-Conference Team honors and a spot on the 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. Serving as a short stick defensive midfielder and Faceoff specialist, he posted 114 ground balls, 97 face-off wins, 2 goals, and 1 assist during 50 career games for the Bears. Sadd spent his college Summer breaks coaching for LB3 Lacrosse Club and Team 8 Lacrosse.
Following graduation, he traveled to the United Kingdom, where he worked as a Learning Development Officer for the Rochdale Lacrosse Club, bringing the sport of lacrosse to youth players and elementary schools in conjunction with the English Lacrosse Association.
A native of Houston and a graduate of Memorial High School, James earned his degree from Georgia Tech, where he won an SELC championship and served as President and captain during his junior and senior years.
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Coach Chen has been a member of the Iron Horse coaching staff since Fall 2019. Currently serving as the offensive coordinator at St. Mark’s, where he has been since 2020, Coach Chen has guided the team to State AA Semi-Final and Quarter-Final appearances and mentored several All-Americans.
Prior to St. Mark’s, Coach Chen spent five years with The Woodlands, earning the 2019 THSLL South District Assistant Coach of the Year award and contributing to the team’s state championship in 2018. His coaching experience also includes offensive coordinator roles at the University of Houston and Bellaire High School.
Ronald was introduced to lacrosse in second grade in his hometown of Cedar Park, Texas. In high school, he had the opportunity to play varsity lacrosse at Vista Ridge (TX), Gilman School (MD), and Archbishop Moeller High School (OH). At Gilman School, he competed in the MIAA conference as a junior alternating between midfield and defensive midfield. He completed his club lacrosse career with the Juiced Cherries club team as a midfielder and his high school career at Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati, Ohio as an attackman with a 15-7 record.
Ronald then went on to be a defensive midfielder at Division I University of Michigan. Ronald’s activity and vocal leadership on the scout team enabled him to be awarded the Michigan 2022 Defensive Scout Player of the Year honor while also earning Academic All-Big Ten Honors in 2020 and 2021. He graduated from Michigan with a degree in computer engineering and currently works as a sales engineer at IBM.
Fisher’s coaching career began after college graduation where he served as the varsity defensive assistant coach at TMI Episcopal, a college preparatory school located in San Antonio, Texas. In his first season with the TMI program, he helped lead the Panthers to the 2023 Class B State Championship in their first year playing in the Class B division. Fisher guided the defensive unit in upsetting The Woodlands B and Lovejoy programs on their way to the championship.
Fisher continues to promote the importance of fundamentals, effort, and communication while coaching with Iron Horse. He is excited to develop the players and assist them in achieving their academic and athletic goals.
Cameron was born and raised right outside of Boston MA. He was a senior captain in both football and lacrosse in high school. He went on to play collegiate lacrosse at Division III Endicott College in Beverly, MA.
Endicott has been a nationally ranked Division III program for years, under the leadership of Coach Sean Quirk, who had recently moved on to be the head coach of the PLL Boston Cannons. At Endicott, Cameron started at LSM sophomore-senior year, after being recruited as an offensive midfielder. He led the entire conference in defensive goals his sophomore year, leading the Gull's to a conference championship. He went on to finish junior and senior year with Academic All-American honors.
Cameron currently resides in Downtown Dallas with his 2 year old golden retriever, Nugget, and works in Software Sales.
At West Linn High School (OR), Mike was a three-time 1st Team All-State midfielder, two-time High School All American, scored 276 career points, and was ranked the 29th best midfielder in the 2010 freshman class by Inside Lacrosse. He went on to play at Division I Towson for legendary head coach Tony Seaman (the 16th winningest-coach in D1 NCAA history with 263 wins ).
Coach Fay enters his 10th season as the Varsity Head Coach of Rockwall and Heath Lacrosse, having compiled a 79-47 overall record since the 2016 season. During his tenure, the program has seen tremendous success on and off the field. His teams were winners of the 2017 THSLL Division II State Championship, while the 2016 team made it to the DII Final Four and, most recently, the 2022 team made it to the THSLL Class A (formerly DI) Championship Game.
Jeremy was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He played for former Iron Horse coach Matt O’Connell at Parish Episcopal School where he was a 4x All-State midfielder. After high school he attended Division I Jacksonville University where he played midfield, was a team captain, and a Scholar All-American.
Jeremy has been with Iron Horse for 3 years and coaches multiple age groups.
Hank is a former Jesuit Dallas lacrosse player, and has been a member of the Jesuit Dallas coaching staff since 2017.
As a student-athlete at Jesuit, Likes was named Jesuit’s team captain during his senior season and was a THSLL all-district pick in 2013 at long stick midfield before taking his talents to Division II Lindenwood University.
Likes has been a member of the Iron Horse coaching staff since May 2015, and was named Jesuit Class B Head Coach in 2020.
Ryan attended Plano West and was a 4 year starter at attack from 2013-2017. He was also named a team captain in his Junior and Senior seasons.
After high school Ryan was recruited to join the Division I lacrosse team at Providence College competing in the Big East conference. He was a member of the team for all 4 years as an attackman and midfielder.
Prior to joining Iron Horse, Ryan coached for Doc's NYC lacrosse program in the NYC area and served as the Offensive Coordinator for his alma mater, Plano West from 2021-2022.
Keenan attended High School at Torrey Pines High School (CA) and Cathedral Catholic High School (CA), earning three varsity letters in lacrosse. Earned Second-Team All Conference in his sophomore and junior seasons, and 1st Team All-Conference his senior season. Led his team to the CIF Championship in 2010.
Keenan played midfield collegiately at Division I Providence College. He amassed 37 goals and 12 assists across 21 starts. As a Co-Captain in 2017, he helped lead the Friars to their first-ever national ranking, back-to-back appearances in the Big East Tournament, Providence’s first ever Big East Championship berth, and the Friar’s first-ever Big East Tournament Win. He also played in the 2017 USILA North/South All Star Game.
Jacob was a 2x state champion and All-American at Dallas Jesuit. He then went on to play at Division I University of Michigan. At Michigan, he was a 2 year starter with a 50 pt. career and won a Big 10 tournament championship.
After graduation, Jacob attended the University of Texas where he played for the MCLA team and got his masters in Accounting. He is currently an Assurance Associate at PwC.
Curran is an Iron Horse and Jesuit Lacrosse Alumni. Throughout his high school and college career, he has coached numerous grad years for Iron Horse and Dallas Deuces. He was a senior attackman on the Jesuit 2021 State Championship team, earning offensive MVP and leading the team in goals scored.
Curran is currently playing MCLA for SMU. In 2025, he will graduate with his Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration in Accounting at SMU and will be pursuing his Master’s Degree in Accounting and CPA certification.
Brendan grew up in Yorktown, NY before moving to Texas to start his coaching career. Brendan was the first coach of the McKinney Lacrosse High School Program from 2006-2016 where he stacked up 99 wins and went to 4 final fours and a state championship game at D2.
Coach Carney then went to Flower Mound for five years before COVID disrupted their season and he transferred to Hebron. Brendan has been the Head Coach at Hebron High School since he took over in 2022. In three years he took the team to win the Texas Class D State Championship in 2024. Brendan is also in the top 10 all-time THSLL coaching wins.
Currently Brendan coaches the 2031 IH Mongoose team that was put together fall of 2022 and has won 10 tournaments out of the 13 on age tournaments they have entered. The Mongoose team is recognized nationally and plays some of the top on age competition in the country.
Brendan is married to a chemistry teacher at Hebron, Kelly Carney. and they have two boys Michael (2027) and William (2031).
Andrew was born and raised in the north Dallas area. He played lacrosse at Berkner High School in Richardson where he was a captain and led the district in points for three years straight. Andrew made All-State senior year and was given All-American honors. He was chosen to play for Team Texas travel team that competed in Vail against the top high school players in the country.
Andrew went on to play at UTD in Dallas and then men’s leagues until he had kids. He started coaching youth lacrosse in 2014 and has built several top youth programs in Colorado and Texas. Andrew has been married for 17 years and they have two sons that play for Iron Horse and the Allen Eagles.
Nick grew up in Plano, Texas. He attended Plano West Senior High School and was a 4 year varsity letterman for the lacrosse team. He was awarded All-State honors as a senior in 2017 and was selected to represent the U.S. on USBOXLA’s British Columbia tour.
Nick attended and played lacrosse at Division I Towson University from 2017-2018. He stepped away from lacrosse briefly due to injuries, and attended the University of Texas at Dallas where he earned his B.S. in Psychology. Recently, he graduated with a M.S. in Sports Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh.
Isaac is originally from Ogden, Utah. He played Division III lacrosse at Southern Virginia University, where he helped lead the program to their first conference championship and NCAA tournament appearance. He then joined the Southern Virginia University Men’s Lacrosse coaching staff and served as a Regional Director for True Utah.
Isaac moved to Dallas in 2023 and joined the Dallas Jesuit and Iron Horse coaching staffs. He is currently the Manager of Lacrosse Unlimited in Plano.
Sam is a Dallas, TX native growing up in Highland Park TX and attended The Episcopal School of Dallas from 1st thru 12th grade, beginning his lacrosse career there in the 4th grade. Throughout his middle school and high school career, Coach TaCito was a year round player, participating in clubs both in TX and out of state. He was a 4 year Varsity player for ESD from 2008 - 2011 and the starting FOGO for the Episcopal School Dallas his Junior and Senior years.
Coach TaCito continued his lacrosse career at MCLA program University of Mississippi and upon graduation in 2015 immediately began his coaching career back in Dallas for Eagles Lacrosse Club where he was head coach for the 1st & 2nd / 3rd & 4th grade programs until 2021.
Coach TaCito then joined the Iron Horse Dallas and Deuces Lacrosse Clubs in 2020 as coach for all levels of youth programs 1st - 8th as well as a youth skills development coach and has been with us ever since.
Evan Leonardo grew up in Frisco, Texas and began playing lacrosse in Plano in 7th grade for fellow Iron Horse Coach Brandon Banister. Evan attended Frisco Liberty high school and was part of the inaugural Frisco High School program captaining the team his junior and senior year.
Evan has coached and given lessons for various ages for 8 years working with programs such as Frisco, Plano West, Bridge Lacrosse, and the Deuces. Along with coaching, Evan has worked at Teamlax for 10 years and still loves to string sticks. Evan recently graduated from UT Dallas and will be starting his career as an auditor for RSM this fall.
Charlie was raised in Orlando, Florida where he grew up playing all sports. He attended Bishop Moore Catholic High where he played Basketball, Football, and Lacrosse. Lettering in all 4 years in Lacrosse and winning the Florida High School 5A Football State Championship in 2015.
After graduating in 2017, Charlie committed to travel down the road to play defense at Division II Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. During his time at Rollins, Charlie received his Undergraduate degree in Economics and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He was a three year Captain of the Tars, starting 4 of his 5 years with the program as a defenseman. He graduated in 2022.
During his tenure with the Tars he was awarded the Will Hauver Memorial Scholarship and given the honor of wearing #34. Achieved 2021 Third Team All-SSC Conference, 2022 All-South Region Honorable Mention, and was a 2022 Academic All-American.
Charlie currently works in the Energy industry for IronHorse Power Services as the Director of Broker Services.
Peter is from Dallas, TX where he went to St. Rita and Jesuit. At Jesuit he played football and Lacrosse. Peter was a 3 year starter for Jesuit lacrosse and lettered for 4. He was a part of the 2016 and 2017 back to back State Championship teams.
Peter went on to play Attack and Midfield at Division II Rollins College. During his 2023 season, he was a part of the first ever Rollins Men’s Lacrosse team to win a Conference Championship and later go on to the Elite Eight for NCAA’s. In 2023, Peter would graduate with his BD in Business Management and go on to graduate school at the Crummer Graduate School of Business where he would later get his Masters of Business Administration in 2024.
