Message From Coach Donald:

"Last spring I became a coach for the Uganda men’s lacrosse national team. The first of it’s kind, Uganda is the only African nation to be a member of the Federation of International Lacrosse. As a coach, I was able to travel to Kampala, Uganda in December 2017 to host tryouts for the national team. At the end of this month, I will travel back to Uganda where we will train in preparation for the the 2018 FIL Men’s Lacrosse World Championships. From Kampala, we then head to Netanya, Israel where the games will take place July 12-21.

In addition to coaching, I also serve on the board of the Uganda Lacrosse Foundation, a Southern California based 501(3)(c) made up of individuals with a passion to develop and spread the sport of lacrosse. From fundraising to equipment drives, the ULF works to sustain the development of men's, women's and youth programming in Uganda.

To date, we have raised $38,000. The goal of our final push is to raise an additional $48,000 for transportation, meals, and operations for our trip to Israel. At this time we are seeking major gifts but would be grateful for any involvement.

This Thursday, June 14 is Uganda Lacrosse Giving Day! We are calling on all supporters to help make this day a success as we gear up for the World Games. To be a part of the Giviving Day amount please head to www.ugandalacrosse.org/give-day.

If you know of other families who may be interested in supporting the mission of the Uganda Lacrosse Foundation, please feel free to share the information provided.
