Marshall Sorokwasz:  Midfield Jesuit Dallas, Franklin and Marshall

Brian Johnson:  Midfield Plano East, Concordia University Irvine

Annual Survey for 2034-2030 Players

As we prepare for the Fall 2025 and Summer 2026 seasons, we would greatly appreciate your input to help finalize next year’s schedule. Each year, your feedback helps guide our tournament selections and ensures the best possible experience for our players and families.

Hi All, 

 

We’re looking forward to welcoming you and your teams to the 2025 Philly Invitational next weekend! This email includes details to help you prepare for a great experience. If you have any last-minute questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help. 

 

Schedule – Now Live on Tourney Machine.  

 

The full event schedule is now available on Tourney Machine. We’ve worked hard to accommodate all requests. If you notice anything urgent or unexpected, please contact us directly and we’ll do our best to resolve it. Download the Tourney Machine App and search for Philly Invitational to stay up-to-date all weekend.  

 

GAME FORMAT: Game length will be four twelve minute quarters.  Any changes will be communicated pre-event by the Tournament Directors.  There is no Overtime in Pool Play.  Playoff games that are tied at the end of regulation will immediately play one, (4) Four Minute sudden victory overtime. If still tied after the overtime period there will be a 3v3 Braveheart. Championship games will have unlimited (4) Minute Sudden Victory periods; each team is awarded (1) Timeout per overtime period. 

 

SEEDING CRITERIA: Teams receive (3) points for Win, (1) point for Tie, (0) points for a Loss and will be seeded according to their overall record based on points.  The following tiebreakers are followed if teams are tied after pool play; 

 

  1. Head-to-Head Matchup, Wins-Loss Record 
  2. Goal Differential (Total Goals Scored minus Goals Allowed); Maximum of seven (+/- 7) per game. 
  3. Least Number of Goals Allowed 
  4. Most Number of Goals Scored 
  5. Coin Toss

Players must be legally equipped and properly uniformed in accordance with NCAA guidelines, as applicable to their age group or division. 

 

Inclement Weather Policy - Weather is monitored via Schneider Electric’s Weather Sentry Online and the local venue’s weather system. Tournament Directors will communicate all weather related changes through PlayerFirst and reserve the right to modify, delay, or cancel games due to: 

  • Dangerous field conditions 
  • Lightning or visibility issues 
  • Extreme temperatures 
  • Other severe weather concerns 

 

Lightning Safety Protocol  - (3) Horn Blasts = LIGHTNING. All fields must be cleared immediately. Players, coaches, and spectators must proceed to designated safe shelter

 

Resuming Play (5) Horn Blasts = All Clear. Play resumes 30 minutes after the last lightning/thunder observation. Each new strike resets the 30-minute clock. An official “all clear” message may also be sent via text message and email through PlayerFirst. 

 

IMPORTANT Parking Info: United Sports is charging to park and it is $10/day.  Please follow all posted signage and instructions from staff. If parking is limited at any venue, we encourage carpooling and early arrival. Do not park on Marshallton-Thorndale road, you will be towed by the State Police.

 

Coach Contact Info - Please ensure that each team’s head coach contact information is up to date, including name, cell phone number, and email. This is important so we can communicate any urgent updates or schedule changes leading up to and during the event.
