Dear Iron Horse Families,
You will soon see an announcement that we have sold our Austin operations to an entity in which our Austin operators and ADVNC Lacrosse own a stake. While ownership is changing, the core group of coaches and leaders in Austin will remain in place. We are incredibly grateful to our friends in Austin for how they’ve represented the Iron Horse brand over the years. As part of this transition, they will continue to use the Iron Horse name and logo for a limited time, although operations will now fall under a new entity in which we have no interest.
At Iron Horse, we’re approached multiple times each year by groups interested in acquiring the club thanks to the way our organization is run and the consistent success our teams have on the field. While we have sold parts of our operations in the past, a sale of our Dallas operations doesn’t make sense for the long-term interests of our Iron Horse Dallas families.
As a result, Iron Horse Dallas will continue operating independently, just as it has for the past 14 years, with the same owners in place. Our mission remains the same: to provide elite coaching, best-in-class facilities, the most practice and skill offerings of any club in the State, top-flight organization and communication, access to the best events in the country, and an environment that helps players succeed at the highest levels.
We had our 242nd college commitment yesterday, and more are expected this summer. We’re proud of what our players are achieving, and we’re excited to kick off our 15th year with tryouts beginning in July. We’re ready to build on the fantastic momentum from this past fall and summer.
Thank you to all of our Iron Horse families and coaches. Your support and commitment mean everything to us. We hope you enjoy a restful and well-deserved break during the remainder of the summer.
All the best,
Chris Surran
