As a quick reminder, please see the list of Park City activities I sent out last week at the bottom of this email. If you’re planning to visit the Olympic Park, note that it sells out daily — so plan ahead!
For those flying to a lacrosse tournament for the first time, or if you just need a quick refresher, please review the packing list linked above. It’s especially important to follow the guidelines to avoid gear damage.
Three critical reminders from the packing list:
Lacrosse Head & Shaft:
Remove your head from the shaft and carry the head on the plane with you.
Pack a screwdriver in your checked lacrosse bag to reattach it once you arrive.
Summer heat in the airplane’s baggage compartment can warp the head, so this step is essential.
If you have the Iron Horse Lacrosse Mega Bag from Lax Gear, there’s an outside compartment specifically for the shaft.
Long Stick Travel Options:
Choose one of the following methods to protect and check your shaft:
Fishing pole container – available at Bass Pro Shops.
PVC pipe – slide the shaft inside, then cap and seal both ends with PVC caps and duct tape.
Specialty stick bags – designed for checking long sticks.
Carry-On Essentials:
Always pack your uniform and helmet in your carry-on. If your checked bag is lost, these items are difficult or impossible to replace in time — especially the uniform.
Team Activities – Park City Tournament
We’re excited to add some fun and memorable team activities to our Park City tournament weekend! Here’s what’s on the radar:
️ Utah Olympic Park – Alpine Coaster & More
The Olympic Village is always a hit! Activities like the alpine coaster, extreme tubing, zip lines, and ropes courses are a blast for players and parents.
Tip: Lines can get long, so we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance: Gold Pass Session Info.
Once the tournament schedule drops, each team should figure out the best time to go as a group.
♂️ White Water Rafting – Weber River
Utah Outdoor Adventures offers a great rafting experience on the Weber River. Most teams have gone on the final day after bracket play wraps up—it’s the perfect way to celebrate the weekend. The photos from past trips are amazing!
It’s smart to give them a call now to ask about availability and options once game times are released.
Team Meal at Back 40 Ranch House Grill (Heber City)
This spot is a returning favorite. Great food, outdoor seating, and a relaxed vibe—it’s a great place for the team to gather and unwind together.
