Dear Parents and Players,
A few topics no one likes to talk about: Staph Infections and Acne
Do you know that smell coming from your player's equipment? That is literally staph growing on your equipment!
Please wash your equipment! I put my equipment through the washing machine with detergent and OxiClean then I set it outside to dry. Helmets can be washed in an empty dishwasher, and also set outside to dry. I run an empty dishwasher on sanitize after I wash the helmet. If this grosses you out, please use HibIclens and wash it in the shower or sink.
I also wash the lacrosse bag.

Once your player hits a certain age, they are going to begin to get acne because of their helmet. One of the common areas is the area where your chin strap is rubbing the skin. It's not a bad idea to buy 3 or so of these chin strap covers for your helmet that can be easily thrown in the wash after each use.

I promise brighter, cheerier topics in my next email!
Regards,
Tiffany Surran
