Dear Parents and Players,

It's about to get really busy!  This is the opening weekend of tournament play for our Ponies and then almost every team we have plays the following weekend in Cowboy Cup and Terrapin Classic.  

In this email you will find:

• Schedule notes and Schedule for this week
• Turlaxin
• Cowboy Cup and Terrapin Classic
• 2026 Players IMLCA Recruits Account (Former Sports Recruits)
• Uniform Missing Items and Items Printed Incorrectly Update

There is a chance for rain all week this week so be on the lookout for any schedule changes which may occur as a result.  

Lots of schedule notes this week:  Reminder that the Master Calendar is the Calendar to go by if there are discrepancies but please also let me know.  Older youth teams please be proactive on letting your coaches know your availability on Saturday if your community team is playing in Turlaxin.  

• Tonight our youth practice time shifted to 6pm since we were able to get the baseball field.  Next week we will be back to 6pm start full time as we have the baseball field from here on during weeknights.  
• Saturday, we had to change the time for 2028 and 2029 practices due to a band competition warmup.  New times are 10:30 to noon on turf.
• Saturday, all of the 9am grass practices just beware there will be a mens league game on the baseball outfield and they tend to hit more foul balls out towards the grass.
• Ponies, we have not seen a Turlaxin schedule yet!  

Reminder teams registered for Turlaxin are:

• 2035 (only tournament)
• 2034 Carolina
• 2034 Navy
• 2034 Orange
• 2033

Typically they do not send a first draft schedule for Turlaxin until the Tuesday before the event which is tomorrow, but they will probably send it as soon as I hit send on this email .  I will post it to GC as soon as I have it.  Understand there will be changes after the first draft comes out.  I will not post this schedule to Game Changer events because they are going to upload it to Tourney Machine.  Always follow Tourney Machine when at a tournament. 

Tourney Machine is an app you can download for free (there is a paid version but you do not need that if you are willing to have some ads).  Set it to lacrosse in TX and modify the correct week you would like to look at and then the tournament schedules will populate for that week in the state of TX.  Cowboy Cup uses this as well as most tournaments nationally so you will want to download this app!

• Normally, you will get 2 games Saturday and 2 Sunday.  
• When they send the schedule they will send the waiver in the form of a link which we will also distribute.  We have not sent a waiver for Turlaxin only Cowboy Cup.  

Weather:  There is a possibility for weather this week and weekend.  Weather can affect the tournament schedule as well with field closures and time/location changes which is just one of the reasons that Tourney Machine is valuable for up to the minute changes in your schedule.  

We will begin to follow up on missing CC waivers this week!  These must be done prior to your player playing in a game at the tournament.  

Terrapin Classic players, if they send me a list of player waivers that have been completed I will follow up with any missing waivers.  

Reminder that we bought all of the 2026 Team Players an account so please make sure this is updated before your first tournament!  If you have questions about this account please email me at tsurran@ironhorselax.com.  The email which came from them went to the player email address provided during the registration process and one parent email address (not both).
