Dear Parents and Players,

We look forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces and getting to know many new players and parents as well.  Just as a reminder, this is an annual tryout for everyone this year from 2032-2026.  There are a few attachments in the email which may show up as links at the bottom of the email.  They are:

  • Iron Horse Cost Table

  • How Iron Horse Dallas High School Teams Are Formed

  • Team Texas Information (2029, 2028, 2027)

  • Coaches

  • Campus Map

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE MASTER CALENDAR FOR FALL

About the Master Calendar:  Your practices/events are labeled by your grad year and are color coded yellow for youth practices/events, green for high school practices/events.  There are also high school (blue) and youth (orange) skills which are a separate registration.  Ponies practices/events are gray and our annual Holiday Camp which is a separate registration is red.  The second tab of the spreadsheet contains all of the Tournaments by Year of Graduation (We are still working on summer especially at the high school level).  The 3rd tab is a break out for skills only.  It is easier to toggle between the tabs on a computer than a phone.

There are several youth rainouts built into the schedule.  If we don’t use them you just get the extra practices which I think is what happened last year.  We guarantee 14 practices for fall and 14 for summer for 2030’s -2028 (fall only).  As the calendar stands now, there are 17-18 practices scheduled for those age groups depending on the team.

Tournaments:  As many of you know, from 2029 and down, US Lacrosse is trying to get tournaments on board to go age based.  In those age groups our local tournaments (which are most of our tournaments on the schedule for our youth) are staying grad year based at least for now.  That is the reason we have decided to stay grad year based at those levels for this upcoming year.  One of the reasons we do not have our away tournament nailed down at the youth level from 2031 Secretariat through 2029 for next summer is because some event operators are still not disclosing what they are doing for summer 2024.

For summer at the high school level, most of the dates just are not out yet for the events we normally attend which is why those are not listed yet on the tournaments tab.  We are also looking at some new events and those dates are not out yet either for next summer.

As mentioned above our positional skills are not included with a team registration. Goalie spots are not available for sign up until after we form our teams because our team goalies get first dibs on those spots so goalies don’t need to panic, they are not sold out, just closed until we form teams.  Skills are open to anyone in regardless if you are on one of our teams or not.

Our 17th aannual Holiday Camp registration is also a separate registration.  Open to any and all!

Tryout Location:  Jesuit College Preparatory School 12345 Inwood Road Dallas, TX 75244.
