FAQ's

 

• Hotel Blocks:  I am working on them with my travel agent now.  They usually take about 2 weeks to hammer out so I will send out an email and post them on the website when I have that information.  Our non-chaperoned package A families will have an option to stay in the same hotel with the chaperoned players.  These package A parents/players will be responsible for following the directions posted on your team page and securing your own rooms through the block should you choose to do so.  
• Coaches Flights:  I plan on getting coaches flights this week, just as soon as I get the uniform order processed.
• Email Lists:  I have gotten several requests to add an email address.  Please bare with me until everyone registers.  After everyone on your team is registered, I simple export all email addresses listed in the registration and then import then into my computer.  The process is quick and easy this way as opposed to the timely process of adding one email address at a time to the list.  Right now we are working off of the tryout emails that were entered and many people did not add spouses to that list.  If you can give me about a week and a half, I will have the final lists updated.  Please remember that is why it is important to add those emails in your registration.  For the time being, please make sure that you forward any emails you receive from me to your spouse. 
• Cancellations:  If we have to cancel due to weather, all I can do remotely (I'm in the car all day too just like you are with 3 boys going from activity to activity) on an given day after school is to tweet cancellations from my Iron Horse twitter account.  Please follow @ironhorselax on twitter for these updates.  If you are not familiar with twitter you can even get my tweets sent as texts to your phone if you set that up (easy breezy).  If there is no way in a million years you are going to get a twitter account there is a twitter feed on the home page of the Iron Horse website.  The tweet will appear in that twitter feed box if I send anything. If I have a chance to send an email, I will but I don't want people relying on that.    
• Practices:  We have 30 practices scheduled and promised 27 so there is room for a few rain outs and cancellations.  Our first cancellation will be this Tuesday because it is college night at Jesuit and we are not allowed to use the facility. 
• Webpages:  Our website is very functional and user friendly.  Your team page will soon be fully populated with the hotel block, coaches flights and if you are flying on your own, times you need to arrive and time of last possible game.  I do this so you can have every spec of information you need to stay organized and on top of things.  Sometimes I get calls, while I am not at my desk from parents asking me when to fly in and out or about coaches flights, etc. unfortunately, we have so many teams, I can't really answer those questions on the fly, so I will just ask you to look it up on your team page.  I'm not trying to be difficult, I just don't want to tell you the wrong thing.  Here is the direct link to your team page:  http://www.ironhorselax.com/page/show/618240-high-school-fall-2012-fall-2012-
• Rosters:  As soon as everyone is registered I will send out rosters for each team.
